Managing Workplace Stress
In every organisation
there is unavoidable stress. In most cases it is temporary as the crisis
or problem passes or is resolved. Good employers will respond when their
managers and staff need help, however people should also feel confident that
they can help themselves.
soloplus offers two courses which can help Practice Staff to personally manage
this pressure. Our one-day course Lifestyle Management
and our half-day training course, Tools & Techniques for Individuals, are regularly
delivered in-house to employees and managers of
Local Health Boards and Primary Care settings who need help in managing
their stress during difficult periods.
A major
theme of the Lifestyle
Management course is that you can achieve what you are capable
of without damaging your health or increasing the risk of stress. This is
an excellent training course for those who are motivated to help themselves and
their colleagues to get through difficult periods at work.
The Tools and Techniques
course is successful because it recognises that what works for one
person does not necessarily work for another. Accordingly we present and
work-through a variety of 'Tools
and Techniques' participants
can try for themselves, and select those they find work best for them.
Course
handouts and relaxation techniques CDs are provided to each participant on the
day.
